Hail to our beloved alma mater! Cheers to the successful celebration of the 37th founding anniversary of Don Mariano Marcos Memorial State University. With the cooperation of the faculty and staffs, College Student Body Organization and mostly the Students of DMMMSU the Celebration was successfully achieve.
Held last January 8, and January 15-19, 2018, the event officially starts by the Monday Convocation and the Floral Offering. Opening of bazaars and exhibits has also happened last January 8, 2018. By January 15, the program officially starts by a serene thanks giving mass. Followed by the Awards and Recognition Ceremonies for the Central Administration and North La Union Campus with the special participation as the Guest of Speaker Honorable Governor Pacoy C. Ortega. By the afternoon, another Awards and Recognition of Ceremonies has also held for the Central Administration, North La Union Campus, Sericulture Research and Development Institute, and National Apiculture Research Training and Development Institute. Congratulations to all the Awardees! By January 16, Faculty and Staffs Laro ng Lahi was held. With the cooperation of all the colleges, the game has 4 teams participated. Maroon, gray, violet and pink team. By January 17, hundreds of participants, tricycle drivers, faculty and staffs, and even students participated the motorcade. University Research and Extension day and University Students day was also held. Mid La Union Campus, South La Union Campus and North La Union Campus Students have participated the USC Got Talent. With five participants from each campuses, Mid La Union Campus has bagged the award for the first ever USC Got Talent 2018. Even for the 1st Runner Up and Second Runner up has got by MLUC participants. For the Debate Competition, another round of applause for the MLUCians for winning the said competition with the topic, China should be granted the access to the PH rise to establish by President Rodrigo Duterte legacy on international relations. University Award and Recognition Cermonies was held January 18. With the participation of awardees coming from North, South and Mid La Union Campus, the awarding was successfully held with the special participation of the guest of speaker, Honorable Pablo C. Ortega. And the most awaited day for students of North La Union Campus. Color Fun Run was held at the last day of the Program. Many Students has waked up early and joined the 3 kilometer Color Fun Run, started at Junction, Cabaraoan up to Sapilang, Bacnotan, La Union. Followed by the Team building who's bagged most awards is the College of Agriculture and The Amazing Race who's winner is the Institute of Agriculture and Biosysytems Engineering. The programs has also held another NLUC got talent, and the College of Education has successfully won the competition. Right away, Spoken Poetry has also held. Coming from the Institute of Agriculture and Biosystems Engineering won the English category and Tagalog category. The program was successfully held and many students have enjoyed the events. Don Mariano Marcos Memorial State University is truely achieving its Vision as a "Globally and Competitive University, aiming high and achieving every goals. Cheers to a great year of Excellence.
